The following are the entrance exams which are accepted to achieve admission in the diploma in mining engineering course. These are JEE Mains, WBJEE, OJEE, MP PMT, UPSEE, Assam CEE, AP EAMCET and others are the national and state level entrance tests. entrance tests have their own qualifying tests for enrollment in institutes and colleges. The admission eligibility criteria is based on the score the candidate has obtained in the class XII physics chemistry mathematics and the entrance examination.

Diploma in Mining Engineering Course Eligibility

1. Matriculation pass with minimum of 50% in Science and Mathematics as major subjects from any recognized University. 

2. The requirement of having minimum age of 14 years as per date of admission to the course. No, there is no limitation on age and people of all ages can participate in the program.

3. If the institute is having an entrance test in order to admit students then passing that test is the requirement.

4. Minimum requirements such as medical fitness – no complaints regarding eyesight, hearing or heart ailment and so on. 

5. Maths, physical science, technical ability, interest in practical jobs, passion and ability to work in the mines.

6. Otherwise, candidates from SC/ST or other reserved categories have certain relaxation in the eligibility criteria as per government rules.

Diploma in Mining Engineering Admission 2024

1. Should be a science student with Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics as the main subjects at least upto 10+2 level. 

2. Fill out the application forms for admission in mining engineering diploma courses in polytechnics approved by AICTE.

3. Take entrance tests, if any, prescribed by the institutes. Other seats are also filled according to merit for the 10+2.

4. Candidates are selected based on the merit list and then they have to attend counseling sessions in order to choose their desired institute as well as branch.

5. On admission students should ensure they provide all relevant documents and complete admission process by paying fees as charged.

6. 3 year full time mining engineering diploma program according to the academic calendar is required.
