Diploma in Mining Engineering is an undergraduate diploma course which is of duration 3-year and that offers the candidates a vast knowledge and practical idea about the mining activities, processes and techniques which are involved in the extraction of minerals and study of geology. The areas of specialization include tunneling and mining techniques, surveying, ventilation, rock and soil mechanics, safety measures, geology, ore dressing, environmental studies pertaining to mining.
The following are the entrance exams which are accepted to achieve admission in the diploma in mining engineering course. 1. Matriculation pass with minimum of 50% in Science and Mathematics as major subjects from any recognized University.
2. The requirement of having minimum age of 14 years as per date of admission to the course. No, there is no limitation on age and people of all ages can participate in the program.
3. If the institute is having an entrance test in order to admit students then passing that test is the requirement.
4. Minimum requirements such as medical fitness – no complaints regarding eyesight, hearing or heart ailment and so on.

1. Should be a science student with Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics as the main subjects at least upto 10+2 level.
2. Fill out the application forms for admission in mining engineering diploma courses in polytechnics approved by AICTE.
