The Diploma in Orthotrauma Care Course is a one year diploma program specifically designed to teach the management of musculoskeletal injuries as well as trauma cases. This diploma prepares you in the use of splints, casts, traction methods and physiotherapy in regards to orthopaedic diseases. These are some of the protocols that students have to learn about assessment and rehabilitation in sports injuries, fractures, soft tissue injuries, amputations and poly-trauma. The course curriculum entails a number of clinical postings that include OPD, OT, and orthopaedic wards. 

The requirements that every candidate must fulfill for admission into the Diploma in Orthotrauma Care Course include: He or she should have sit and passed the 10+2 examination in science stream with not less than 50% marks in aggregate. Diploma in Orthotrauma Care Course Eligibility

1. Candidate must have passed 10+2 examination with any stream from any recognized board of the country with minimum 50% marks in aggregate. 

2. Candidates should fulfill their basic education criteria by possessing GNM (General Nursing and Midwifery) or B.Sc Nursing, or Post Basic B.Sc Nursing qualification from a reputed institute or university.  

3. Registered nurses who have minimum of 2 years work experience in Orthopedics department or having experience in trauma Care can apply for this course. 

4. Qualification: Those candidates who have qualified the test conducted by the institute such as interview/written test etc. only those candidates are eligible to apply if they have secured minimum cut off marks. 

5. Migration certificate, conduct certificate and physical fitness certificate, all these documents have to be attached while submitting the application form for the confirmation of the admission. 

6. It has no upper age limit though, the candidate must be physically fit, have aptitude and passion in orthotrauma care nursing profession.
