Diploma in Radiography is a diploma level course of study in the field of paramedical science particularly in the realm of radiology. It prepares students in various imaging techniques such as X-rays, computer tomosynthesis, magnetic resonance imaging, mammography, and ultrasounds. In terms of content, the diploma course imparts theoretical knowledge necessary to help radiologists capture medical images of the patient and practical training. The duration of Diploma in Radiography is usually 2 years which will be divided into four semesters. 

The minimum requirement for admission to Diploma in Radiography is the completion of 12th standard with Physics, chemistry and Biology as the preferred subjects. Some institutes, they have their own entrance exams for choosing the students while some of the institutes they take the marks obtained in the 12th boards. Other accepted entrance tests of college offering Radiography diploma program are JIPMER B.Sc Nursing Entrance Exam, and IGNOU OPENMAT.

Diploma in Radiography Course Eligibility 2024

1. The minimum qualification required for the course is 10+2 passed in science stream with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as main subject from a recognized board. 

2. Some minimum cut off requirements for admission in diploma in radiography course include 50-60% marks in 10+2.

3. SC/ST category candidates may be awarded 5% concession in the requisite percentage of marks.

4. The candidate must have studied English as a compulsory subject in 10+2 level preferably from a recognized board or university.

5. Shouldn’t be a medical risk with any severe illness or physical challenges that may impede in the pursuit of the course.

6. This has to be done by passing the entrance examination that the institutes offering the radiography course.
