In the US, there is only one standard test that is recognized for the admission into MD programs, and it is known as the Medical College Admission Test, abbreviated as MCAT. Candidates seek to perform well on the MCAT, a test that measures abilities in the areas of life science such as biology, biochemistry, organic chemistry, psychology, and statistics besides critical analysis and reasoning abilities essential in medical college.
