Fellowship in Critical Care in Cardiology is a postgraduate program of one to two years of training for doctors who have completed their Postgraduate qualification in Internal Medicine or Pediatrics and wish to pursue a sub-specialty in Critical care Cardiology. This fellowship aims at training the fellows in the intensive care of cardiovascular diseases and conditions such as advanced heart failure, cardiac arrest, cardiogenic shock, post-cardiac surgery critical care, mechanical circulatory support and multi-organ dysfunction syndrome.
The entrance exams that are accepted for this fellowship program include USMLE (United States Medical Licensing Examination) step 1, step 2 clinical knowledge and step 3 tests the knowledge, concepts and principles apply in health and disease. 1. MBBS degree from a university recognized by the medical council of India or an equivalent degree in medicine.
2. MD / DNB in General Medicine / Pediatrics / Anesthesiology / Pulmonary Medicine or any other equivalent.
3. Minimum 2 years post MD/ DNB clinical experience in the concerned specialty would be desirable.
4. Full registration with Medical Council of India or respective State Medical Council.
5. As of the date of admission in any course a candidate should be below the age of 45 years.
