Neurology Fellowship is a medical subspecialty that is taken after the completion of MD/MS in Neurology. It’s objective is to offer intensive clinical fellowship in different sub-specialties of neurology with a view of creating professional specialization in neurophysiology, epilepsy, stroke, neuroimmunology among others. A Fellowship training takes between 1 to 3 years depending on the subspecialty that is pursued. Some of the popular institutes for neurological fellowships are the AIIMS and NIMHANS, where candidates are selected based on merit, experience, and an entrance exam

The entrance examination that are considered for admission to Fellowship in Neurology programme is NEET PG, DNB CET and INI CET of AIIMS. Further, each institute conducts its own qualifying entrance examinations also on the basis of which final admission is done. Multiple choice questions from the internal medicine, general surgery, neurosciences, neuroimaging, biostatistics.

Fellowship in Neurology Course Eligibility 2024

1. The MBBS degree from a recognized university with internship of one year experience in India or other Countries recognized by MCI. 

2. The candidate should have completed the MD/DNB degree in General Medicine or Pediatrics and should possess 3 years of experience after it.

3. The candidates should have must have registered themselves with the MCI or the respective State Medical Council. 

4. Having served not less than two years Senior Residency in Neurology in an MCI recognized institute. 

5. Cleared DNB super specialty part I/II exam with 2 years post-MCI screening test teaching experience

6. Candidates must be physically fit with the upper age limit fixed for the recruitment of 35 years as per the date of application.
