Master of Arts (MA) in Gender Studies is an academic master’s degree programme with a primary interest in gender and affiliated sociological phenomena. It is designed to develop students’ higher education in Gender Roles, Gender Theory, Feminism, Masculinity Studies, Gender and Sexuality, and the fields in question. The program normally takes two years full-time or between three to four years if done part-time.
For admission to the MA Gender Studies programme are GRE General Test, GMAT and University’s own tests. Some universities also may require international students to offer national-level exams like IELTS or TOEFL apart from GRE/GMAT, though they may not be graduate school entrance exams, as many universities may consider these exams mandatory for applicants from non-English speaking countries.
