MBA in Data Analytics is a two years full time post graduate management program that is designed to prepare students into business analytics and data driven decision making. The technical aspect of data analytics is covered through the offering of courses in statistics, data mining, data visualization, machine learning and database management. The basic courses in finance, marketing, operations, and strategy are also taught from a data standpoint. By engaging with real-life projects and using live cases, students are equipped with practical knowledge on how data analytics can be used to improve business environments, processes, and customer insights and even for making strategic decisions.
English proficiency tests such as TOEFL, IELTS, PTE are also required depending on the university requirements, and entrance exams like GMAT/GRE or standardized MBA entrance exams like CAT. Minimum passing scores for the test, a bachelor’s degree, work experience, essays, interviews are standard components of the application procedure. Some colleges also cover students admitting them based on their academic achievements in the undergraduate level if the course taken is a quantitative course such as Engineering, Economics, Statistics, etc. The knowledge of using analytics tools and programming languages can also supplement one’s application.
