MBA in Finance is a post graduate management degree course which offers deep insight into various financial and managerial concepts. The MBA Finance program is generally for two years duration and covers basic courses like accounting, managerial economics, business statistics, business environment and organizational behavior, etc., and elective finance subjects such as financial management, security analysis and portfolio management, etc. The curriculum is designed to blend both the concept and its practical aspects to provide profound knowledge of the subject area.
The entrance tests accepted for MBA Finance admission across business schools in Indian are CAT – Common Admission Test conducted by IIMs, XAT – Xavier Aptitude Test conducted by XLRI, MAT – Management Aptitude Test conducted by AIMA, CMAT – Common Management Admission Test conducted by AICTE, SNAP – Symbiosis National Aptitude Test conducted by Symbiosis International University, NMAT – NMIMS Management Aptitude Test conducted by NM Other exams are IIFT and state level exams such as MAH-CET in Maharashtra, OJEE in Odisha etc. Candidates who have appeared for any of these exams can apply for MBA Finance admissions.

1. Minimum 50% marks in the Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from any University recognized by Association of Indian Universities.

3. While it is preferred that candidates should have around 2-3 years of work experience in the related field, the requirement is not mandatory for enrollment in top B-schools.
4. Additional requirements include good communication skills and analytical skills.
5. Performance in GD/PI rounds for the shortlisted candidates depending on their performance in the entrance test.
6. Preparation of final merit list by assigning weightages to their academic performances, scores in entrance test, work experience and interview.
