Master of Labour Studies is a postgraduate programme that deals with issues in labour management, employee rights, employee benefits, and labour market research. This post graduate level course offers training in field such as industrial relation, labour economics, labour law, human resource management, labour welfare and labour administration. As for the length of the programme, one should mention that the Master of Labour Studies programme can take 2 years for full-time study. Although there are some flexibility when it comes to the degree programmes too, these take either three years for part-time students or up to four years for distance learning students.

Common entrance exams that are considered for admission into the Master of Labour Studies program differ from one college and university to another. Master of Labour Studies Course Eligibility 2024

1. Candidates must possess a minimum of a degree qualification in any field from a recognized university with a minimum pass of 50% marks or its equivalent grade. 

2. Qualification: Any person with a bachelor’s degree in Labour Studies, Industrial Relations, Human Resource Management, Social Work, Law, Economics, Commerce, Management, or Public Administration shall be preferred.

3. The admission to the program will be offered on the basis of the performance in the entrance test and reservation for those applicants who have work experience in the labour sectors, industry or corporate fields will be preferred. 

4. This applies to students who will be completing their final year bachelor’s degree this year; however, their admission will be probationary based on the results of their final examination.
