Master of Science or MS is a postgraduate level course that aims at offering advanced learning and specialization in science and technology fields. An MS degree takes an average of 2 years and is composed of 4 semesters. In some specializations such as MS in Data Science, Cybersecurity or Software Engineering it can be 1 or 1.5 years also. This depends on the university whereby Education can be classroom teaching and lab work or purely research activities. The fees structure, courses offered and the specializations offered in MS differ from one university to the other. Its goal is to foster the development of practical competencies and knowledge in a particular area of science or in interdisciplinary fields.
