M.S Research program is a terminal degree in most cases and is aimed at the completion of an individual research project in an area of the sciences. Most MS Research programs can be completed in 2 and 3 years when pursued as a full-time course. It comprises of; advanced courses in specific science area such as biology, chemistry, physics, computer science., and research methods. They work under the supervision of a faculty member where they conduct intensive research and at the end of the program, prepare a thesis paper which emanates from the research.
Some of the standardized tests that are normally used for admitting students to M.S. Research programme in various universities are Graduate Record Examination (GRE), Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT), and some universities consider the scores of the programmes like BTech or metrics of undergraduate research like publication in peer reviewed journals for admission.
