M.Sc. Pharmacology is a master’s degree program offered to postgraduates who are interested in gaining broad knowledge about drugs and medicines. This includes areas of study such as pharmacodynamics and pharmacokinetics, drug interactions and toxicology, pharmacogenomics, clinical research and drug discovery. As for the duration of an M.Sc the typical scenario has been outlined above whereby a candidate undertakes their first degree program and successfully completes their first year of masters degree before proceeding to spend another two years on their masters degree program. Pharmacology course is usually 2 years full-time Pharmacology course is a postgraduate course and it has a duration of two academic years. It has also a classroom teaching system wherein the students also do laboratory training and research works. It is also some of the institutes require students to complete a thesis at the end of the course by doing their own research project.

We understand the entrance exams considered for admission into the M.Sc. The entrance exam for pharmacology programs are – GATE (Life Sciences) CUCET, JAM of CSIR UGC, University/Institute level like BHU PET, JNUEE etc Some of the institutes offer direct admission through percentage scored in bachelor’s degree. Admission process mostly includes the test with the final stage in some of them being the interview. This course is specifically designed for the candidates who have completed their pharmacy, medicine, biotechnology, microbiology or any life sciences degree. Candidates also earn themselves brownie points on what they were doing at work and in related fields to get the shortlist.
