Master of Surgery (MS) in Plastic Surgery is a postgraduate surgical specialization program to manufacture techniques and procedures of reconstructive and cosmetic plastic surgeries. The program usually takes 3 academic years where the students are trained on the principles of plastic surgery, surgeries done for aesthetic purposes, after accidents, cancer and other related illnesses among. 

The entry qualification for admission to the MS Plastic Surgery courses in India are NEET-SS-National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for Super Specialty courses NBE-National Board of Examinations and INI-SS-Institute of National Importance-Super Specialty-New Delhi AIIMS. Some of the most popular and renowned medical colleges also have their own admission tests. The eligibility for this post is an MBBS degree with MS/ DNB in General Surgery

MS Plastic Surgery Course Eligibility 2024

1. MBBS degree duly recognized by medical council of India and should have obtained minimum 55% marks in aggregate. 

2. The candidate should possess permanent/provisional registration certificate of MBBS degree awarded by MCI/State Medical Council. 

3. The candidate on or before 30th June/31st December must have completed minimum two years post MBBS experience that include residency program in surgery/orthopedics/plastic surgery etc.  

4. The candidate should have appeared and cleared the NEET-SS exam conducted by NBE as per the details given in the information bulletin with minimum percentile eligibility.

5. In some institutes there may be some written test or entrance examination which students have to appear for. The candidate has to pass a certain standard that is set by that particular institute.  

6. Some seats are reserved for only service doctors/faculty who are serving the same institute where they intend to serve after the course.
