M.Tech (Civil Engineering) is an engineering master’s degree at post-graduate level that deals with advanced ideas and concepts concerning different subfields of civil engineering. 1. Minimum of B.E/B.Tech in Civil Engineering with not less than 60% aggregate marks or equivalent CGPA.
2. Satisfactory score in the GATE examination that is above the cutoff predetermined by the specific institutes to which the candidate is applying. Non-GATE candidates are also considered in some institutes.
3. Sponsored candidates may be required to have minimum 2 years of work experience in the related field.
4. Age does not matter and there is no upper age limit. It is open for fresh graduates as well as the working professionals.
5. It is also important to note that besides GATE score some institutes may set their own entrance exams.
6. Candidates should have mathematics as one of the subjects in B.E/B.Tech for at least 2 years/4 semesters for students in their second year of study in the university.
