M.Phil. Clinical Psychology is a postgraduate program that centers on clinical and theoretical understanding of people’s psychological well-being and mental health. It is a 2-year full time course that offers specialisation in psychological assessment, diagnosis and treatment of psychological disorders, psychotherapy, counselling and research methodologies.
The M.Phil. programme requires the students to fulfill certain basic qualifying criteria: A candidate who wants to pursue Clinical Psychology course should have a master’s degree in psychology or applied psychology with minimum aggregate of 55% marks. Certain institutes also admit candidates who have master’s degree in related field of study as well. These are the national level entrance examinations which are accepted, University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test (UGC-NET), Council of Scientific and Industrial Research National Eligibility Test (CSIR-NET), Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) and Joint Admission Test for M.Sc. (JEST).

2. AIPG: Among these, the AIIMS conducted all India level exam and it measures aptitude, mental ability, psychological concepts and statistics.
3. BHU PET: By BHU Varanasi, it checks mental health, fitness aptitude, logical reasoning and has questions from clinical psychology courses.
4. JNUEE: By JNU Delhi, measures ability, trivia, problem solving ability and the knowledge about the subject in Psychology
5. Central Universities Common Entrance Test: Postgraduate scholarship test covering numerical, verbal and logical reasoning and basic knowledge in psychology across several universities.
