Post Graduate Diploma in Histopathological Laboratory. Technology is one of the postgraduate courses that take 1- 2years to complete and prepares students for histopathology which is the study of tissue samples to diagnose diseases. Major topics include a brief overview of histology, histopathology procedures, operations of tissue processors and microtomes, staining methods and interpretation of histopathology lab findings and reports

The entrance exams for admission to the PG Diploma in Histopathological Lab Technology are - BSc MLT/ Life Science, BMLT, BSc relevant subject - Zoology, Biochemistry, Microbiology with minimum 50% marks in aggregate from a recognized university. Some institutes have relaxed their admission criteria and they accept candidates with Diploma in Medical Lab Technology (DMLT).

PG Diploma in Histopathological Lab. Technology Course Eligibility 2024

1. Candidate must possess the BSc degree in Medical Lab Technology/Life Sciences/Zoology/ Botany/Microbiology/Biochemistry/ Genetics/Biotechnology from a recognized university with 50% marks. 

2. Candidates with Diploma in Medical Lab Technology course also have an option to apply for this course provided they have scored 50% aggregate marks.

3. Minimum age of the student should be seventeen years and there is no upper age limit for the admission as on 31st December of admission year.

4. The candidates who want to be a part of this institute must pass the institute level entrance exam that includes written exam containing questions from medical lab subjects and interview. 

5. Affidavit from registered medical practitioner confirming that the candidate is fit for undertaking lab training is required.

6. They should produce two letters of reference from the faculty members, along with all original certificates of their academic and work experience at the time counseling.
