Ph.D. (Educational Statistics) is an academic postgraduate degree that aim to provide education of statistics with special reference to the problems connected with education. The most Ph.D. (Educational Statistics) take between 4-6 years to complete their course of study. Students get to understand the techniques of quantitative and qualitative research and its application in designing studies and analyzing data to solve various problems in areas such as psychometrics, program evaluation, policy analysis, or any other discipline of interest. 

The entrance tests which are most commonly accepted for admission for Ph.D. (Educational Statistics) are UGC NET in Education, SET/SLET of various state and state level Joint Admission Test for M.Phil/Ph.D. This shall include Diploma in Applied Management (D. (JAM)), and other examinations for the program provided by different universities and institutes. Some institutes may also require a valid score in GATE or percentage in the Master’s degree for admission.

PhD Educational Statistics Course Eligibility

1. They should be a holder of Master’s degree in any relevant field such as statistics, mathematics, economics education among others with an average of 55% pass.

2. The candidates should have cleared UGC/CSIR NET exam in education or any other equivalent exam or having minimum two years experience of teaching at graduate/post graduate level.

3. Researches the Ph.D. entrance exam conducted for the university and a personal interview test. 

4. In writing the research proposal, a student must include information on the following aspects: research area, research method, purpose and scope of the research.

5. If employed then get NOC certificate from employer and if full time research scholar then having sponsorship letter is mandatory.  

6. Pass through other requirements required by the university such as publication, academic record.
