Doctor of Industrial Management (DIM) is an academic postgraduate course that aims at offering postgraduate degrees in the subject of industrial management and aims at imparting knowledge, ideas, theories and research methods and techniques that can be applied to industrial organisations and systems. Ph.D. Industrial Management program normally takes 3 – 5 years of the Programme’s duration and usually includes course work and dissertation. The first one to two years of MBA programs consist of advanced courses such as operations management, supply chain management, quality management, project management, business analytics, organizational behavior, strategic management, and many others After this, a group of students takes a comprehensive examination and defends their proposals, while the rest of the work involves doing a research at a high academic level and submitting a dissertation.
At national level the permissible tests for admission to Ph.D Industrial Management courses are GATE, UGC NET, CSIR NET and CAT.
