The Ph.D. (Food and Nutrition) is a doctorate level graduate program that specializes in the further learning and knowledge in the fields of food science, dietetics, nutrition science and community nutrition programs. Ph.D. (Food and Nutrition) program normally takes 3-5 years to complete, depending on credit load and other research oriented activities and writing of dissertation. The curriculum ensures that the student acquires adequate content knowledge regarding the requirements necessary for the appropriate nutrition, the chemistry of foods consumed, metabolic processes, assessment of nutritional status, development of therapeutic diets, and research on the effects of the nutritional policies and intercessions.
