Post Graduate Diploma in Bank Management (PGDBM) is a two years post-graduation course in Banking management. This is a 1-year full time diploma course which offers advanced specialization in areas such as retail banking, corporate banking, international finance, treasury, accounting, banking and financial services regulation, credit management, risk management. The course designed and developed as per the industry demand to equip the graduates and professionals with the required financial, managerial and leadership skills to handle the crucial responsibilities in banking and finance sector.  

Even if you are taking admission in a PGDBM course, there are several entrance examinations that are given like CAT, XAT, MAT, CMAT, ATMA, and state entrance. Most colleges/ universities that offer the PGDBM program also set their own qualification tests. The next level of selection is the GD/PI rounds in which the shortlisted candidates have to appear before the institutes.

PGDBM Course Eligibility 2024

1. Possess a graduate degree from a recognized university in any field with at least 50% aggregate marks. 

2. Desirable candidate should have the experience of 2-3 years in banking financial services or similar fields. 

3. There is no any fixed age but it is recommended that the successful candidates should be below 30 years of age. 

4. The entrance exam requirement in terms of minimum passing score differs from one institute to another. Some of the general tests, which can be considered, are CAT/MAT/XAT scores.

5. Knowledge of banking operations, skills in verbal and written communication, problem solving and decision making, motivation towards building a career in banking sector is appreciated. 

6. For the final selection there are some institutes that have also designed their test/ Group Discussion & Personal Interview.
