Post Graduate Diploma in Business Administration (PGDBA) is a post graduate one year diploma course in the field of business administration and management. It is designed to equip students with profound academic and practical expertise in different fields such as marketing, finance, people management, operations, and others to succeed in the managerial positions within organisations. The PGDBA normally takes 12 months and includes classroom study in 2 or 3 semesters covering subjects such as organizational behaviour, business statistics, business law, strategic management.
The entrance test accepted for admission into PGDBA programmes are CAT, XAT, MAT, ATMA, CMAT, GMAT. Some colleges have direct admission system depending upon graduation marks. Further, work experience is accorded importance during the admission process. It can be concluded that working experience coupled with good scores in entrance test is a key factor to get selected in top B-schools for pursuing PGDBA course.
