The Post Graduate Diploma in Cybercrime & E-Commerce Law (PGDCEL) is a one-year, one semester diploma programme aimed at covering various aspects of cyber laws and cybercrimes as well as e-commerce laws. The program offers the knowledge of the laws relating to information technology, patents and copyright, data privacy and security, legal frameworks governing e-commerce, and cyber criminal investigation. Students learn how to handle different types of cybercrimes such as phishing, identity theft, hacking, frauds.
The admission to the PGDCEL programme requires a bachelor’s degree in any stream viz science, arts commerce engineering, management etc from a recognized University. Candidates need to have passed in their graduation with at least 50% of the total marks. The following entrance tests are acceptable: PGDCEL entrance examination test which is conducted by the colleges offering the program, CAT, MAT, XAT, ATMA, CMAT, GMAT, and any other test at national and state level.

1. Graduate degree in any specialty from a recognized university with not less than 50% grade average.
2. Final year graduation students can also apply in a provisional basis providing they will meet the requirements of the course when offered admission.
3. In regard to this course, there are no restricted age limits regarding the admission of students. It is open to graduates and job seekers, and even to those who are working full time.
4. It would be advantageous for the candidate has some prior knowledge of cyber laws, Information Technology and E-Commerce but it is not necessary.
5. This is because all instruction will be given in English language hence one is expected to have good English language skills.
