The Himachal Pradesh Lateral Entry Entrance Test is an entrance examination carried out by the Himachal Pradesh University to enable student admittance to the 2nd year/3rd semester for the B.Tech and B.Pharma programs. It enables the admission of candidates who have done diploma in engineering or pharmacy or have completed B.Sc to join the engineering and pharmacy colleges and universities in Himachal Pradesh at a particular level of the programme.
The HP LEET exam may cover topics like mathematics, physics, chemistry and engineering mechanics among other areas of specialization. Evaluating the past year trend the exam is conducted around July of the year and the result is declared within one month of the exam. As for the HP LEET 2024, it is still unknown when the specific notification for the exam will be released but it should be anytime from March-April 2024 where more information on the dates of the exam, how to apply, the eligibility criteria, pattern and syllabus of the exam will be stated.

1. Registration & Application Form
- Notifications for the following positions are out and all the candidates should visit the official website www.hp.gov.in/hppsc.
- Go through the page and search for the link – the HP LEET application form – and then click on the link.
- The first process involves registration whereby you have to give some basic information about yourself.
- Do so with the registered credentials to log in.
- While completing the application form for the HP LEET, ensure that all the details provided are correct.
2. Application & Exam Fees
- Submit the fee for application online (General candidates need to remit Rs 400 as the application fee).
- The exam fee can be paid later in case the admit card is issued in the future then only the exam fee is to be paid.
3. Uploading Documents
- Scanned photograph should be uploaded as per the specified image size and format along with scanned signature and the certificates relevant as per the format given.
4. Print Application
- Complete the HP LEET application form online and then take a print out of that form which is in filled format.
5. Admit Card
- Do download your admit card/hall ticket when it is released before taking any examination.
- Educational/Academic Certificates: The educational documents to be submitted contain mark sheets of 10th and 12th standards along with certificates to prove the eligibility and marks in the qualifying examination.
- Domicile Certificate: Himachal Pradesh domicile certificate in original in a sealed envelope from the competent district magistrate. This is a very significant criterion about the eligibility of the candidate.
- Aadhaar Card: The Aadhaar card is also accepted as both identity and address proof, and therefore, a photocopy of the Aadhaar card will suffice.
- Passport size Photographs: 3-4 fresh, unstamped, passport size photographs as per the specifications provided in the information brochure.
- Category Certificate: Self attested copy of SC/ST/OBC certificate in case of claiming for any benefits under reserved/ relaxation category.
- Income Certificate: Original income proof documents in the form of income certificate duly attested by the appropriate revenue authority, if applicable.
