JEECUP formerly known as UPJEE Polytechnic means Joint Entrance Examination Council Uttar Pradesh which is a state level entrance examination organized by Uttar Pradesh Joint Entrance Examination Council to provide admission in diploma courses of various polytechnic institutions which are affiliated to the council. The test’s primary purpose is to give a basic level of filtering for admission to diploma level courses in engineering, technology, and management in the institutes that are participating in the test.
JEECUP is held only once in a year and it is a multiple choice question paper consisting of 150 questions covering Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics/ Biology and Aptitude. As per the merit list generated by the JEECUP exam, only the students who get shortlisted have to undergo the counseling procedure for getting the admission.
