NEST stands for National Entrance Screening Test and is an online examination which is mandatory for students who would wish to join the NISER; Bhubaneswar and UM-DAE CEBS; Mumbai. NEST is aimed to be performed each year by National Institute of Science Education and Research. Its goal is to select and support gifted students with interest or abilities in sciences learning and researches.
The NEST exam checks the student’s analytical skill, aptitude fee for biology, chemistry, mathematics and physics up to 10+2 standard. It is taken in approximately 50 towns around India. The type of test is the 3-hour exam. The NEST exam date is in the next year, 2023 and it is June 24.
