West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board – West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination For Engineering / WB JECA The Common Entrance Examination for admission in Under Graduate Engineering & Technology Courses in Govt. & Self Financed Institutes in West Bengal. The exam is held annually, usually in June, and the exam lasts for four hours or more. The WB JECA exam is a pen-paper examination that is conducted in a single sitting and comprises 200 questions in total which are divided into two sections namely Section A Mathematics and Section B Physics and Chemistry. The total time allowed for the examination is 3 hours and the question paper includes multiple choice objective type of questions.
The exam is very much standardized and competitive with many thousands of students taking the test for a few hundred or thousand seats. Even the minimum qualification required to apply is the higher secondary examination passed in science stream with marks therein in physics, chemistry and mathematics individually. The outcome is normally provided approximately one month after the exam has been taken. While the application process for the 2024 exam should be open in February 2024, the dates of the exams should be released in April or May 2024. The outcome can only be arrived at by July 2024.

2. The other important aspect to look at is whether the candidate meets the set requirements in terms of age, education and any other requirements that may have been put in place.
3. Students and parents have to provide personal and academic information to register on the portal.
4. Image files such as photos, signatures, certificates as well as other documents scanned and uploaded.
5. Fees for application and exams can also be paid through debit/credit card or net banking.
6. Retain a copy of the completed form and the fee receipt for any future use as a record.
7. For admit card download candidates are required to use their registration details on the official website before the exam.
