There are undergraduate and postgraduate programs available with the Agriculture University in Jodhpur, Rajasthan in faculties of Agriculture, Horticulture, Forestry, Agricultural Engineering, Home Science etc. For admission to the BTech courses like Agricultural Engineering, the candidate should have passed 12th standard with Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics. For BSc Agriculture/Horticulture/Forestry, candidate should have passed 12th with subject such as Biology. Acceptable entrance tests: JET, REAP, AIEEA. MSc programmes like MSc Agriculture offered in specializations such as Agronomy, Agricultural Economics, and the like, call for a BSc degree in an appropriate field. Admission to PhD program is done on the basis of Master’s degree with minimum 55% marks.
Some of the major disciplines that are taught in the university include agriculture, horticulture, forestry, agricultural engineering and home science. They include BSc in Agriculture, Horticulture, Forestry, Food Science, Home Science, BTech Agricultural Engineering, MSc/PhD in Entomology, Plant Pathology, Agronomy, Soil Science, Agricultural Economics and business administration MCA MBA. For admission to UG programs for the batch 2024, the application process will begin in May 2023. Admission test is planned in June 2023 year. For PG programs, applications will be invited in the month of July 2023 and entrance exam in the month of August 2023. For UG and PG programs, the results will be declared in September 2023. They will be admitted based on merit in the qualifying exam/entrance test.
There are two ways through which students can apply for the admission to Agriculture University Jodhpur, namely Online and Offline.
In order to apply online, students need to visit the official website of the university, which is www.aujodhpur.ac.in and then click on ‘Admissions’. Choose the course of your preference and make sure to complete the online application form appropriately. Online, scanned copies of photograph and signature as well as other documents like educational certificates etc have to be uploaded in the specified format. Deposit the application fee through net banking/debit card or credit card. The completed form can be printed and saved for future use.
For offline application, visit the university administrative office to request for the admission application form. Have it filled correctly and enclose certified copies of documents that are necessary in the process. After filling the application form, attach the application fee in the form of a demand draft or cash and submit the same at the office. Postal applications should be in an envelope with the label ‘Application for Admission 20XX’.
