The medical courses provided by AIIMS Patna include various degree programs in different fields of specialization. They include undergraduate degrees such as MBBS and BDS as well as postgraduate degrees like MD/MS, MCh, DM and nursing courses. Department/Program specific requirements and course prerequisites are different. The eligibility criteria for MBBS are 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry & Biology in 12th board examination. BDS requires 50% marks in Physics Chemistry Biology Maths, in 12th standard. Post Graduate Medical Degree/Diploma courses like Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry, Pharmacology, Pathology etc, affiliated to any Indian University accept candidates having MBBS degree with 55% marks. MCh in Neurosurgery does not specify the requirement of MS/DNB in Neurosurgery but accepts those who hold MS/DNB in General Surgery. DM in Cardiology accepts I or II degree holders in Medicine or Pediatrics in MD/DNB. AIIMS Patna accepts scores of the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for Under Graduate Courses (NEET UG) for MBBS/BDS, Institute of National Importance Combined Entrance Test for Post Graduate (INI-CET) for PG Medical Courses, and other entrance tests for B.Sc/M.Sc Nursing courses.
All India Institute of Medical Sciences AIIMS Patna has started its admission process for various Medical Courses like MBBS, MD, MS, MCH, DM etc for the academic year 2024. This can be done either online or by applying through the offline mode for admission in the AIIMS Patna.
For the registration process to apply for AIIMS Patna, one should go through the official website of AIIMS Patna which is aiimspatna.org. Navigate to the official website of the institution and click on ‘Academics’ option in the main menu Then, you should select the ‘Prospective Students’ option in the dropdown list that appears. Find the particular medical program of interest and click on the ‘Apply Now’ link. Although the application process is manual, the students need to register themselves and submit the application forms online with their documents and fees.

The AIIMS Patna started its course in the year 2012 and currently, they have an M.B.B.S. degree programme of 5 ½ years and an intake capacity of 100 students per year. The admission in the M.B.B.S. course at the AIIMS Patna is done through the entrance examination that is conducted by the respective institute usually in the month of June. They should have completed their 12th standard or any other equivalent examination with at least 60% marks aggregate in Physics, Chemistry and Biology subjects. Class 12 is mandatory to have passed English as a subject in order to be a candidate for this job.
The AIIMS MBBS entrance exam is conducted on general intelligence, logical & analytical ability, general awareness, and subjects related to the class 12 science. The entrance exam is followed by an interview and document verification process for the shortlist of candidates.
