Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham Amritapuri Campus is a private deemed university located at Amritapuri, in the State of Kerala in India. It is an NAAC accredited institute with ‘A’ grade and it ranked 26 in universities among India by the NIRF Rankings 2023. The campus has both post graduate and post graduate doctoral programmes in different fields.
It has several schools that offer programs in the fields such as engineering, business and management, liberal arts and science respectively, biotechnology, journalism & mass communications, education, ayurveda, and nursing. The most common are the BTech, MBA, MCA, MA, MSc, BSc, BA, BCom, BEd etc. Application opens in January every year and the admitted students are supposed to go for the entrance exam after which they are taken through counseling. The dates for this examination have not been fixed and thus not available as of the time of writing this article.
Though it is always a matter of uncertainty regarding placements in any institution, placement records of Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham Amritapuri Campus have been quite satisfactory in past. The leading companies for recruitment include IBM, Accenture, Infosys, Wipro, TCS, Cognizant and others. More than 500 companies recruit in campus placement at Amrita. The job packages offered by such companies vary from 6-8 LPA to 40 LPA and so on. About 92% of students were selected in this placements session through on and off campus drives during 2021-22. Also corporates search for interns to be employed after final year results are released.
