Assam Rajiv Gandhi University of Cooperative Management (ARGUCOM) is a State University established in 2012 in Sivasagar, Assam. It was set up in 2011 under the provisions of The Assam Cooperative Societies Act, 2007, and is affiliated with the University Grant Commission (UGC), India and the Government of Assam. The university also boasts of its NAAC accreditation grade ‘B’ and the NIRF 2023 university rankings placing the university 101-150 in the country.
ARGUCOM provides the following degrees at the Undergraduate, Post Graduate and Doctoral level in streams such as Management, Commerce, Computer Applications, Social Work. There are many courses but the most demanding and popular are BBA, BCA, MBA, MCA, MSW, and PhD. The process of admission includes taking and clearing the relevant aptitude tests such as the SLAT or any other national level test, and counselling. The exams are usually written during April to July each year.

1. For admission to any undergraduate programs, the candidate must have passed the 10+2 or its equivalent examination in the respective discipline from any recognized board.
2. For postgraduate programs candidate must have a relevant bachelor’s degree with minimum percentage of marks according to the rules made by university.
3. For admission into PhD programme candidate need to possess a master’s degree in a relevant subject with minimum of 55% marks or an equivalent grade.
4. For candidates falling in the reserved category, there is 5% condonation of marks.
5. Age is not a restriction for any of the programs, implying that there is no upper limit for any of the programs.
6. University also provide direct admission to all programs with own entrance exam or take valid score of national/state level entrance exams.
