B.S. Abdur Rahman Crescent Institute of Science and Technology, also known as BSA Crescent Institute, is a Private Deemed University in Chennai, India, at Vandalur. It was founded in 1984, UGC recognized it since 2004 and NAAC accredited the university in the year 2022 with ‘A’ Grade. BSA Crescent Institute secured its position at rank 101-150 in the NIRF University ranking of India in year 2023 and rank 51 in engineering colleges. 

It also has more than 30 undergraduate, postgraduate, and research courses in fields such as engineering, technology, management, architecture and other fields. Some of the well known courses offered include B.Tech in CSE, ECE, mechanical, civil, B.arch, MBA, MCA, etc. As for the admission, it usually begins in April every year. For B.Tech programs, the students need to qualify either TNEA counselling or BSAUEEE entrance exam conducted by the institute along with the counselling process. The semester exams take place in Nov-Dec and April-May every year normally.

1. Should have passed in 10+2 or equivalent examination with Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and English and must have obtained minimum aggregate of 50% in these subjects.

2. The candidate should have appeared for the B.S Abdur Rahman Crescent Institute of Science & Technology entrance examination and should have obtained the basic cutoff marks required for the academic year

3. Passed minimum 3-year diploma after 10+ standard with 50% aggregate for direct admission to 2nd semester of engineeringStreams 

4. Minimum 60% aggregate of marks in B.Sc. degree for admission to M.Sc., courses offered with the subject area of the chosen discipline

5. For candidates who want to attempt the GATE/NET examination, relaxations are made with less than 60% aggregate marks in B.Sc. for M.Sc. programs
