Babu Madhav Institute of Information Technology (BMIT) is one of the constituent units of Uka Tarsadia University located at Bardoli, Gujarat. It has several undergraduate and postgraduate courses in information technology, computer Applications, data science, artificial intelligence, computer Science Engineering Electronics & communication engineering streams. The standards of admission are different for each department – for the B.Tech programs the candidate must have passed the Class 12 in science stream with the main subjects of Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics and must have secured not less than 50% of total aggregate marks. Admission into the University can be through JEE Mains, GUJCET, Uka Tarsadia University examination etc. For BCA and MCA programmes, Mathematics as one of the subjects in Class 12 is mandatory and the same percentage criteria are applicable.
The institute has various techno-management under graduate programs such as BBA, integrated MBA and MBA of two years duration in marketing, finance, human resource, operation and other many more. PhD degrees can also be pursued in subjects such as computer science, information technology, and management. GUJCET is held in April 3rd week and JEE Mains is held in January 2nd week and April 1st week for admissions in the year 2024 across courses. University’s own entrance test will be conducted in the second week of May. This online registration process will begin in December 2023. The admission process involves the performance of class 12th and entrance examination conducted by the college, counseling session. The university itself conducts admissions for bardoli, surat and bhimnath campus of the university. Regarding booking, it is done according to the set government standards.
The Babu Madhav Institute of Information Technology (BMIT) is an affiliated college of Uka Tarsadia University (UTU) Bardoli that provides undergraduate and postgraduate courses in different IT streams. The BMIT offers admission both online and offline for the students who wish to take admission to this renowned institute.
To apply online, interested candidates need to log on to the university official link, www.utu.ac.in/Bardoli. Move your cursor to the ‘Admissions’ tab and choose BMIT. You should register yourself through the application form which is available online. Please scan and upload necessary documents, pay the application fees online, and complete the form. For offline admission, obtain the application form and brochure from the Admission Cell of BMIT by depositing the amount mentioned. Enclose self-attested photocopies of all documents mentioned in the application form and send it along with the application fee through demand draft or cash at the Institute’s office. UTU prospectus contains information about the eligibility for admissions, intake capacity of the programs offered, fee structure and other related information. Merit list is determined in terms of previous academic performance. The process of selection includes personal interview rounds.

- Marks obtained in 10+2 exams particularly science stream including physics, chemistry, maths, etc There might be some percentages needed.
- Admission test result – Some colleges have their own admission tests. Even scores in other exams like JEE, GUJCET etc may also be deemed as valid.
- Personal interview - Some colleges may offer interviews so as to determine the students’ interests, ability and ability to complete the program.
- Co-curricular activities – Activities such as, science fair, project work, volunteering, etc. might also be considered as evaluation criteria.
- Go to the college website and navigate your way to the part related to admissions. The content should include the type of programs available, the requirements, how to apply, deadlines, etc.
- Most colleges have an online application form that is to be filled and has to be accompanied by scanned copies of certain documents. It may also be possible that there is an application fee.
- Some of the documents likely to be submitted are the tenth and twelfth standard marksheets, school leaving certificates, and photographs, identification proofs etc., depending on the college of admission.
