The university is private university in Solan, Himachal Pradesh. It was started in year 2009 with the permission of UGC of India and is also affiliated with Government of Himachal Pradesh. The university was accredited by NAAC with Grade A and in NIRF Ranking 2023, Bahra University is in the band of 101-150 in universities across India.
Under these faculties, the university teaches a plethora of subjects in disciplines such as engineering, business administration, pharmacy, agriculture, forestry, computer applications, hospitality, law, education, basic sciences and humanities. Bahra University Eligibility Criteria 2024 (by Departments)
1. For undergraduate courses, the candidates are required to have passed the 10+2 or any equivalent examination from the recognized board having minimum percentage of marks ranging from 40% to 60% depending on the course.
2. For postgraduate programs admission, candidates must possess the relevant bachelor’s degree in the same field with minimum aggregate scores of 40-60 %, depending on the program.
3. Sometimes, the program may have certain other conditions like the marks scored in the entrance test (like CAT/MAT for MBA), qualifying examination (like CLAT for LLB) or any prior working experience.
4. The procedure followed for calculation of percentage is in general percentage relaxations in aggregate percentage for reserved category candidates as per government norms.
5. Implementing some stringent requirements such as English language proficiency proof like IELTS/TOEFL scores may need to be implemented for the international students aspiring to be admitted.
6. Students in their final year can apply but offer provisional admission that shall only be consummated upon meeting the aggregate marks requirement as published by the university.
