BIT, Tiruchirappalli is one of the renowned engineering colleges in Tamilnadu, which is affiliated to Anna University and provides B.E., and M.E. courses in various branches of engineering. The B.E/B.Some of the technologies available for students are Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communications Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering and many others. These UG programs demand conditions such as minimum 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics in class 12 or any standard board exam like CBSE/State or any competitive exam like JEE Main.
The institute also provides Master of Engineering/ Master degree courses in different fields of engineering.M.Tech and M.C.A post graduate programs in the various disciplines namely –Computer Science and Engineering, VLSI Design, Embedded systems, Communication Systems, Manufacturing Engineering, Structural Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Computer Application, etc. The basic admission criteria for these PG programs is a B.E/B.Tech in the concerned branch of engineering with at least 50-55% marks in aggregate from a recognized university as the admission criterion. The admission process for the 2024-25 academic session for theBIT is going to start from May 2024. As for the admission process, BE/BTech streams such as CSE, ECE, EEE, Mechanical, etc and PG programs like M.Tech, MCA will start their application process in the Third week of May 2024.
