Bidhan Chandra Krishi Viswavidyalaya Mohanpur is accredited by NAAC and offers undergraduate and postgraduate courses in several departments: Agriculture; Horticulture; Agricultural Engineering; Home Science; Basic Science & Humanities; Fishery Science; Dairy Technology; and Veterinary Science. Elegibility criteria differ from department to department- For Agriculture and Horticulture- Candidates should have passed Higher Secondary examination with Biology For Engineering departments- Students should have passed High school examination with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. The accepted exams are WBJEE, JEE Main, and GATE.
The University teaches courses under various disciplines including Agriculture, Horticulture, Agricultural Engineering, Fisheries, Dairy Technology, and Basic Science. The exams majorly helpful for admission in 2024 include – WBJEE in May 2024, JEE Main in April & May 2024, GATE in February 2024. The steps involved in the admission process are - clearance in the entrance tests, counseling, document verification process and fee payments.
Process for filling up of Admission Form online Read the instructions carefully before filling up the form:
1. Proof of identity: Provide a copy of ID card issued by the government or other authorized body to ensure the person’s identity.
2. Educational certificates: Original documents/documents to prove that the candidate has passed 10th and 12th standard and is a graduate will be required that too in the form of mark sheets and passing certificates.
3. Domicile certificate: Provide documentation of domicile or residence to ensure that applicants belong to the particular state for admissions consideration.
4. Reservation certificate: If applying under reserved quota, scan and attach their valid caste or tribe certificate or any other relevant document.
5. Migration certificate: Enclose migration certificate from the board or the university last attended to get the admission confirmed.
6. Physical fitness certificate: Provide a medical statement that confirms ones physical ability to undertake the preferred academic program.
1. Applying online or offline for UG/PG courses the applicant has to submit the filled up application form which is available on the website of the university or obtain the same from the university offices during the period of application.
2. Sit for university entrance tests which are administered in relation to different UG/PG courses if any.
3. Merit lists can also be checked in the notice board or through the university website as and when they are displayed.
4. Students who have been offered a place at the institution must pay their school fees either online or through banking channels in a given period as well as present their documents.
5. If counseling is held before the final allocation of subject and stream for UG courses, it’s better to attend them.
6. Documentation: All the formalities have to be completed by you by providing the remaining documents, signing the fee payment contracts, and getting identity cards to ensure that you are a student at BCKV Mohanpur.
