Bodoland University is one of the state universities in India and is situated in Kokrajhar, Assam. This institution is accredited by the University Grants Commissions which is an autonomous body recognized by the government of Kenya. NAAC has granted Bodoland University accreditation and has given it a B grade with a CGPA of 2.11. In the NIRF rankings 2023, it is stated that the university is ranked 139 among the universities in India.
The university delivers courses in faculties of arts and commerce, science and computer applications, engineering. Standard programs include the Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Commerce, Bachelor of Computer Applications, Bachelor of Business Administration, and Bachelor of Technology. All most all the programs have a merit-based system where the students are admitted based on their performance in the qualifying exam. Certain programs require different entrance exams such as MBA, MCA.

Bodoland University Eligibility Criteria 2024 (by Departments)
1. At least 10+2 or any equivalent examination in any stream from a recognized board. Pass/Fail categories for BA/BSc programs along with Arts/Science streams.
2. For admission in PG programs, the candidate is required to have a Bachelor’s degree from a recognized University with minimum percentage as per norms.
3. Additionally for the professional courses, the candidate has to fulfill other requirements set for that line of study.
4. Deductions / waivers in eligibility criteria shall be applicable as per the guidelines of the government of India for the categories such as SC/ST/OBC/PWD.
5. Must satisfy any other requirements of the university with regard to the subjects offered, marks obtained, tests taken etc for certain programs.
6. It is also important to note that the eligibility is subject to compliance with all laid down standards as well as confirmation of the documents presented by the candidates at the time of admission.
Bodoland University Placements 2024
Bodoland University has quite a good placement record to its credit and many big companies come for campus selection every year. Till now, top recruiters have been TCS, Wipro, Infosys, L&T Infotech and CSC Global who recruit nearly 60–75 students throughout the different branches of the college, which indicates the placement percentage of approximately 50–60 percent. This branch gives admission in computer science and IT which are the favorite of maximum companies. The maximum salary offered was Rs 6.5 LPA by L&T Infotech for a CS student and the median salary of Rs 2.8 LPA was given for the 2023 placement. The fact that most of the placements focus on offering remunerations within the Rs 2-5 LPA range within IT, Banking, Manufacturing, and other fields suggests that there is a good scope of enhancing placements with better packages in the future.
