The CUG is located in Gandhinagar and it provides different under graduate and post graduate programs in the fields of science, arts, commerce, engineering. The basic requirement for admitting oneself in the bachelor degree courses is the completion of the class 12 exams with 50% marks and above obtained from the recognized board. Such entrance tests like CUET, JEE Main are for admission into programs such as BTech, BA, BSc, and BCom. Some of the programs also provide options for national level tests such as CLAT for admission.
The university also provides courses in faculties/schools of Arts & Humanities, Social Sciences & Management, Natural & Applied Sciences, Technology, Business & Commerce, Education, Law. Some of the major courses offered by CUG in the bachelor degree are BA, BSc, BCom, BTech, BCA integrated law course and teacher education programmes.
Process for filling up of Admission Form online Read the instructions carefully before filling up the form:
1. Identity and address proof in the form of Aadhaar card/ PAN card/ Voter ID card / passport/ driving license/ ration card.
2. Acceptable Identification: Passing certificate and marksheet of class 10th with date of birth and name of subjects studied as proof of eligibility and academic background.
3. Pass certificates and mark sheet of class 12 with information about the subjects taken by the candidate and the marks scored by him/her to verify the academic qualification of the candidate.
4. Degree certificate and Consolidated mark sheet, if the candidate has completed graduation for academic clearance.
5. Certificate of proof of residence, domicile and proof of identity in the state, income certificate, community or caste certificate for candidates for quota eligibility for the reserved categories.
6. For students who formerly studied in another institution and wish to transfer to Central University of Gujarat, it is mandatory to present a migration certificate from the previous college or university.
1. Verify the requirement - Candidates must have passed their Bachelor’s degree in any subject with at least 50 % for general category candidates and 45% for the reserved category candidates.
2. It can be completed online - The online application form is available only on the official website cug.ac.in and the information and scanned copies of documents must be submitted before the deadline as mentioned on the website.
3. CUG Entrance Exam – Take the Common University Entrance Test (CUG-ET) in various centers. It has 100 questions out of them are multiple choice questions.
4. Check merit list – For entrance examination, a merit list containing the name of candidates to be admitted in cu Jabalpur is available at cug.ac.in.
5. The Counselling process- Meet the counselor according to the counselling schedule where documents are authenticated and the choice of the student for the college.
6. Fee payment for admission confirmation – After then, make the payment for the admission to confirm the provisional admission to enroll on the courses within the stipulated last date for enrollment formalities.

1. Check eligibility - Candidate must have completed a Master’s degree with 55 percentage or equivalent grade.
2. Select research focus and potential advisor - Go through the list of professors in the institute’s website to find a probable advisor whose research field complements your choice.
3. Online application - This may involve entering personal information and the proposed research topic, course grades, and research proposal among others, and processing a certain amount as an application fee.
4. Subject related Assessment test-Written test/Interview - Those who passed through the initial screening are administered a subject related written test and later offered an interview by experts in order to gauge their research potential.
5. Final list – Candidates who succeed in their written and interview performance and fulfill the available vacancies are shortlisted and declared.
6. admission and enrollment- selected candidates accepts the admission by paying the fees. Earlier, provide the final documents to complete the enrollment processes stated above to start the Ph.D program under the assigned supervisor.

1. Qualification –Candidates having a Master’s degree from a recognized University with not less than 55% marks will be considered eligible.
2. Get the application form - Usual found on the website of the university or it can be collected personally from the university during the period of May-June.
3. Complete the form and send along with copy of documents and application fee before end of June-July.
4. Take an entrance test – It is normally taken in July and assesses the prospective candidate’s understanding of research techniques and the topic to be covered.
5. Take written test/ examination - Eligible and short listed candidates undergo a written examination to be held in June and the interview round is conducted in the month of August.
6. Check the admission list and enrollment – It is important that anyone who has been selected should ensure they complete their admission process by September. Duties include paying fees, providing essential documents, and registering for the course.
