The CUK or Central University of Karnataka is a central university that was established in the year 2009 in Kadaganchi, Kalaburagi, Karnataka. CUK was founded in 2009, UGC recognized Institute and accredited by NAAC with B++ grade. In the NIRF rankings of 2023, the CUK has been ranked in the overall band of 101-150 and among the universities, it is in the 76th position.
CUK provides numerous undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs and courses in sciences, arts, commerce, education, engineering, and law streams. These programs can be taken through 9 schools of study that the university has. In general, exams are taken during November-December and May-June respectively every year for various programs. Evaluating the admission process for the 2024 batch will commence in May 2023. It is possible to apply online or offline where the latter involves completing the application form for CUK entrance exam. They are usually given based on merit arising from the scores obtained in the qualifying examination and the entrance examination.

The placement cell at Central University of Karnataka focuses the recruitment of final year students through campus interviews. Some of the big companies which have recruited students from this campus are Infosys, Wipro, TCS, Tech Mahindra, Cognizant, etc. Infosys offered the maximum salary package in a package of Rs. 12 lakh per annum in the year 2021. The salary packages being offered by these companies are from Rs. 4-6 lakh per annum on an average. About 61% of the deserving students were successfully placed in campus placements in 2021. Recruiting companies range from IT service providers up to primary engineering firms.
