Central University of Orissa Koraput (CUO Koraput) is one of the central universities of India that has been established in the Koraput, Odisha. It is founded in 2009 through an Act of Indian Parliament. CUO Koraput has the recognition of University Grants Commission (UGC) and the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) where the latter bestowed the B++ accreditation on the university in 2023. As per the NIRF rankings of 2023, CUO Koraput fell in the band of 101-150 among all the universities in India. 

The university provides numerous courses in the niches of arts, commerce, science, education, law and many more at the undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral level. CUO Koraput offers various courses which are recognizable and famous in India these are BA, BSc, BCom, MA, MSc, MCom, MEd, LLB, PhD and more. The date for the entrance exams, which are conducted for admission to these courses in the session 2024, generally falls between May-July each year. 

CUO Koraput with the university having an active placement cell that ensures that students gain employment in some of the country’s most revered firms every year. A number of reputed company recruiters undergo CUO Koraput campus for placements, some of them are TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Deloitte, KPMG, IBM, Accenture, HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank etc. More than 80 % students of the CUO Koraput are placed in different companies every year and the average salary offered by the companies is between 3-5 LPA. The highest salary package as per the data provided is 15 LPA which is offered to the computer science engineering branch.

The Central University of Orissa, Koraput is also endowed with Training and Placement Cell that supports the students for placements across the programs. Well-known firms that are involved in campus recruitment include TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, IBM and Mind tree to mention but a few.
