CEPT University is one of the premier and oldest institutes in Architecture and planning situated in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. It was set up in 1962 and approved by AICTE, COA and NAAC with grade ‘A’ The institution believes that architectural education must prepare students to not only create built form but also to address the societal issues arising from the design of buildings. As per the NIRF rankings of the year 2023, CEPT University stands at Second position among the colleges for Architecture in India.
The university provides its students with a rich choice of study programmes, including undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral levels in the spheres of architecture, planning, construction & management, design, sustainability. Currently, CEPT offers a several well-known programs such as BArch, MArch, BPlan, MPlan, BID, MDes, IMPM, and PhD. The admission procedures include online registration for the course, CEPT aptitude tests, studio tests for some programmes, and personal interview. Scholastic performance, aptitude tests, portfolio, and compatibility with the programs are measured through the selection criteria.

CEPT University Eligibility Criteria 2024 (by Departments)
1. For admission to Bachelors programs, graduating 12th or equivalent in any stream with minimum 50% aggregate marks is mandatory.
2. For Masters, passed the relevant Bachelors degree with not less than 50% marks or the minimum CPI/CGPA mentioned in the programme.
3. For Ph.D, one has to have cleared the Masters degree in respective stream, having minimum 55% marks or equivalent grade. Healthcare provider should have passed the fellowship exam if relevant.
4. In the case of diploma and certificate programs: passed 12th or Graduation in any stream depending upon the program.
5. Foreign candidates are required to submit their test scores in English language such as IELTS/TOEFL in addition to academic qualification and marks.
6. Extra conditions such as entrance test, interview, submission of portfolio etc may be set for certain programs for which it is stated in brochures.
CEPT University Placements 2024
This year, CEPT University depicted excellent placement records by placing 95% of the students in various reputed companies from their respective domains. The placement cell provided opportunities of more than 160 companies on campus with the big names like Amazon, PwC, Deloitte, ZS Associates and Reliance. The maximum salary hike was up to INR 47.5 LPA which was offered by Uber while the second highest was up to INR 29 LPA offered by American Express. In the cumulative effect, more than 65 percent student received a package of more than INR 10 LPA and the average CTC offered to the students was INR 9.2 LPA which depicted the recruitment index and career scope of CEPT graduates. Consistent increase in placement numbers and increasing salary offers, CEPT continues to be the employer’s best bet to hire quality candidates.
