CU is a state private university situated in the city of Punjab in India. It has obtained UGC recognition, AICTE and NMC approval and accredited grade ‘A’ by NAAC in 2022. In the NIRF India Ranking 2023, the university has ranked at 55th place in the university category. The university has under graduate, post graduate and doctoral programmes in the field of engineering, business studies, architecture, pharmaceutical sciences, law, liberal arts and humanities, computer application, science and technology, media studies and fashion designing etc.

The university offers over 115 programs that is spread out in different stream and these include MBA, engineering, computer science, hotel management, design, planning, architecture, etc The admission calendar for the academic year 2024 shows that the application process starts from November 2023. The academic eligibility criteria for admission consists of class 12 marks, CUET, SAT score etc. along with CU admission test, and personal interview/group discussion. – The application form can be downloaded and completed online using the official website of the university. There are several stages of screening during the admission process and the selection.

Overall, the University has proved to be a great success when it comes to placements year after year. The maximum salary that can be earned in 2022 is INR 1.82 Crores per annum that was offered by Microsoft. Microsoft, Amazon, IBM, TCS, Infosys, Cognizant, Wipro, etc are few of the 1800+ national and multinational organizations that have participated for placements Over 6000 students made industry ready through internships, live projects, field visits and practical teaching learning methodology. As many as 1700 recruiters are offering placements in the university with an improved percentile of 90.37% in the year 2022 despite the slowdown in economic growth and a median salary of INR 7.5 LPA for the students. Chandigarh University Eligibility Criteria 2024 (by Departments)

Engineering: The minimum educational qualification required to join B.E Electronics and Communication Engineering is to pass 10+2 examination with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics as subjects. JEE Main rank accepted. Admission based on merit. When it comes to admission, especially to universities and colleges, seats for J&K and NE students are provided.

MBBS: Candidates must possess 10+2 with at least 50% in Physics, Chemistry & Biology. NEET rank required. 15% AIQ. Deviation for reserved candidates. Merit-based admission.

BCA/MCA: The candidate should have passed 10+2 examination and should have studied mathematics or computer science as one of the subjects. Merit-based admission. For the post of MCA - BCA/B.Sc/B.Com graduates.

Pharmacy: 10+2 with PCB or PCM, Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) or Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) in any discipline, Master of Computer Applications (MCA), Master of Business Administration (MBA), Chartered Accountant (CA), Company Secretary (CS), Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA). In these universities, a student is admitted directly from senior secondary schooling on the basis of university examination or merit. For MPharm - BPharm degree mandatory where the candidate has to do both MPharm and BPharm degrees as mandatory to get this degree.

Nursing: Minimum 45 % in PCB in 10+2 and having apc. Admission based on merit. BSc honors eligibility- 10+2 with science subjects in English Medical, Maths, Biology, Physics, Chemistry, Home Science, Biotechnology, Agriculture, Veterinary Science, Forestry, Engineering or Computer Science.

BBA/MBA: 10+2 in any stream, any student having a valid 10+2 certificate is eligible to apply. A number of universities across the nation follow merit and entrance exam based admission system. Some of the proposals included in the introduction of the MBA Programme are as follows: 

Teacher Education: 10+2. B.Ed from a recognized University: For admission to the B.Ed course, the candidate should have passed the Bachelor’s degree examination from a recognized University. Entrance test for M.Ed.

Paramedical: 10+2 with PCB. Merit based admission.
