CSK Himachal Pradesh Agricultural University, Palampur has various streams and departments for undergraduate and postgraduate programs. Some of these are the Department of Agriculture, Basic Science, Forestry, Home Science, Veterinary Science and Horticulture. The eligibility is different for different departments and for BSc Agriculture students require passing of 12th Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Maths. For BVSc, those who have scored 50% or more in Physics, Chemistry, Biology in 12th standard should be eligible. The minimum requirement to gain admission to BTech Food Technology includes, passing 12th with Physics, Chemistry and Maths/Biology. MSc programs like Agriculture, Horticulture, Forestry have bachelor’s degree in the relevant stream as the basic requirement. Some of the accepted standard entrance exams are JEE Mains exam, HP PAT test, and national level test for Agriculture and Veterinary.
The university has various undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in faculties of Agriculture, Forestry, Basic Sciences, Veterinary, Home Science and Horticulture. Some of the popular courses include BSc Agriculture, BVSc, MSc Agriculture (Agronomy), MBA Agribusiness.
The online and offline mode is available for students who wish to apply for undergraduate and postgraduate programmes offered at Chaudhary Sarwan Kumar Himachal Pradesh Krishi Vishvavidyalaya Palampur.
For online application, candidates should log on to the official website of the university www.hillagric.ac.in admission tab. They have to self-enroll where they enter some information after that they have to enter their login details, enter the mandatory details, upload documents, pay application fee and then submit the form.

CSKHPKV Palampur offers several UG programs in different departments of the University, which include the following. The program under the College of Agriculture offered is BSc Agriculture that has subjects such as genetics, plant breeding, crop production, among others. This is attained with a minimum qualifying requirement of 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Maths. Other accepted exams include HP PAT, JEE Mains, and qualifying examination. BSc Horticulture programme includes pomology, landscaping, post-harvest technology, etc BSc horticulture course eligibility is 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Maths. Some of the tests accepted are HP PAT, JEE Mains. The BVSc and AH program available in the college of Veterinary and Animal Sciences studies the aspect of anatomy, physiology, biochemistry, etc with reference to livestock health care and management. The eligibility is 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology. The acceptable entrance exams are NEET UG and JEE Main of this current year.
The prominent undergraduate programs offered across the streams include BSc Agriculture, BSc Horticulture, BVSc & AH, BTech Food Technology, BSc Forestry, BTech Biotechnology, BSc Home Science, and BBA.
CSK Himachal Pradesh Agricultural University, Palampur is a well known university which offers a number of PhD programs in different fields of agriculture. PhD degrees are offered in the Departments of Agronomy, Agricultural Economics, Agricultural Statistics, Entomology, Horticulture, Plant Pathology, Seed Science and Technology, Silviculture, Soil Science, Vegetable Science and Water Management. The minimum qualifying criterion for all the posts category-wise across most of the departments is a Master’s degree in the concerned subject with not less than 55% of marks. The entrance tests such as ARS NET, GATE, JRF, SRF or any other ICAR/CSIR/UGC national level test and the Management entrance tests like CAT/MAT/ATMA/GMAT are some of the eligible tests for doing PhD in certain departments like Agricultural Economics and Statistics.
The University provides full time & part time Ph.D. programs in streams including Agronomy, Entomology, Genetics & Plant Breeding, Horticulture, Plant Pathology, Soil Science & Agricultural Chemistry, Vegetable Science, Agricultural Economics and other major agricultural specializations.
