Chettinad Academy of Research and Education (CARE) in Chengalpattu has a variety of programs for different fields such as medical, nursing, allied health, architecture, physiotherapy, pharmacy, and more. The criteria of eligibility are different for each department. For MBBS, candidates require 50% in physics, chemistry, biology in 12th or equivalent examination like NEET. BDS demands 50 percent in physics, chemistry and biology in 12 th class. The eligibility criteria for BPT course is passing with 45% marks in 12th standard with physics, chemistry and mathematics/biology group. For lateral entry in B.Pharm, one needs 45% in 10+2 with physics, chemistry, mathematics or biology or a pharmacy related diploma. The B.Arch program provides admission on the basis of the score of NATA and also the score of JEE paper 2 along with 50% marks in physics chemical and mathematics in the 12th exams.
The programs offered by CARE for the 2024 academic year across streams are MBBS, BDS, MD, MS, MDS, B.Sc & M.Sc (nursing), B.Pharm, M.Pharm, BPT, MPT (physiotherapy), Bachelor of Occupational Therapy (BOT), B.Arch (architecture), BCA, MCA (Computer Science) and BHM (Hotel Management).

CBSE, ICSE, State Board, NIOS are the qualifying exams accepted by the university. For BDS, minimum requirement is 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology in boards of 12th standard. Btech such as Biotechnology, CSE, ECE, Mechanical etc requires 50% in 12th Physics, Chemistry, Maths. Some of the exams recognized are JEE Mains, MHT CET, KCET etc. To pursue BSc Nursing, it is necessary to have scored 45% in Physics, Chemistry Biology & English in respective 12th boards through HSC, CBSE, CISCE etc.
The UG courses available at CARE for the intake of 2024-25 are MBBS, BDS, Pharmacy, Physiotherapy, and Nursing, Engineering such as CSE, IT, Biotechnology, Architecture, Commerce, Management, and Arts & Science.
