Chhattisgarh Swami Vivekanand Technical University (CSVTU) Bhilai has developed different technical degree courses in multiple categories of technical field. Depending upon the department, the eligibility criteria are different - In order to seek B.Tech admissions in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, Civil and other branches of engineering and related fields, the applicant should have passed the 12th standard with Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics and secured at least 50% marks. The diploma holders can also have the options of getting the lateral entry into the 2nd year of B.Tech programmes. MBA and MCA programs are eligible for admission after a bachelor’s degree with 50 % marks. For the M.Tech courses, a requirement of B.E. / B.Tech degree in the relevant branch with a minimum 60% aggregate marks is necessary. Acceptable university entrance examinations/ tests include JEE Main, CG PET, CLAT, CAT, MAT, GATE etc. along with qualifying CSVTU SET examination score.

The mode of admission in various programs of CSVTU, BHILAI is online as well as offline. CSVTU is a state university located in Bhilai, Chhattisgarh, India that provides various undergraduate programs in the fields of engineering, technology, pharmacy, architecture and management. Some of the most well-known under graduate programs are: B.Tech in computer science, Information Technology, electronics and Mechanical engineering among others. The basic qualification to apply for B.Tech is 10+2 examination with passing in Physics, Chemistry and Maths with an aggregate of 45% marks. On this basis, only CBSE, ICSE or State Boards are accepted as qualifying exams. The B.Pharm program is generally 4 yr undergraduate program, which can be done after passing 10+2 with physics, chemistry and either mathematics or biology. Admission procedures of B.Arch program allow students who passed their 10+2 with Mathematics as one of their subjects. For management related courses such as BBA, and BCA, 10+2 with any stream and minimum percentage as per norms is the eligibility criteria for students.
CSVTU provides the regular B.Tech degree course in Computer Science & Engineering, Information Technology Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Civil Engineering and many more. Other general UG courses include B.Pharm, BCA, BBA, B.Arch, etc.
In the Chhattisgarh Swami Vivekanand Technical University (CSVTU) which is located in Bhilai, the postgraduate programs are offered across the engineering and technology stream. The course that is provided by CSVTU is MTech and it has a number of options, including Thermal Engineering, CAD/CAM, Power Systems, Structural Engineering, and VLSI Design. The basic criteria for admission to MTech programme is BTech/BE degree in the respective branch of engineering including Science branch with minimum 60% marks in aggregate (for SC/ST candidates it is 55%). Admission for MTech programmes is based on GATE/CG PET/JEE Main scores along with a valid GPAT score card.
Further, the CSVTU Bhilai offers the Masters of Business Administration and Master of Computer Applications at the post graduate level. The MBA program offered here has some concentration areas in Marketing, Finance, Human Resource, and Systems. The eligibility criterion also demands a minimum 50%ile in any discipline at the undergraduate level for a bachelor’s degree. The admission to the MBA course is done through CAT, MAT, XAT, CMAT, ATMA, and CG PET exams. The admission requirements for MCA program are as follows: Passing in BCA or BSc (IT/Computer Science) or B.Tech/BE in CS/IT with minimum 50% marks in aggregate. NIMCET and CG PET entrance examination is used for MCA course admissions.
Chhattisgarh Swami Vivekanand Technical University (CSVTU) located in Chhattisgarh at Bhilai was established in the year 2005 and offers PhD programs in various departments like Engineering Pharmacy Management Computer application and Sciences. This means that the requirement that students must possess a Masters Degree before they can be considered for admission into PhD programs may not apply to all departments. For Engineering disciplines like Civil, Mechanical, Electrical and Electronics, to be eligible for the post, one must possess a Master’s degree in relevant branch with not less than 55% marks. The qualifying exams accepted for this profile include GATE and NET. For Pharmacy disciplines namely Pharmaceutics and Pharmaceutical Chemistry, MPharm with not less than 55% marks along with the GPAT qualification is mandatory. Marketing, Human Resource, Finance and Information Systems management discipline prefer MBA degree holders with at least 55% marks in CAT/MAT for offering admissions.
