Chitkara University Patiala has a vast number of undergraduate and postgraduate courses in multiple fields of engineering, management, pharmacy, education, arts, commerce, computers, hotel management, interior design, law, nursing, physiotherapy etc. The eligibility criteria differ depending on the department and the specific B.Tech course; for instance, to pursue a B.Tech program one should have passed the 12th standard with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as main subjects, with at least 50-60% aggregate average from a government-recognized board. Allowable examinations include JEE Mains, UPSEE, HSCEET. The cut offs required for taking admissions in BBA/ MBA are 50- 60% in 12th from any stream. CAT, MAT, CMAT etc are accepted, but one needs to score very high in order to get a call. For BA/MA programs in English, Economics, Psychology require minimum 50 % in 12th in relevant subjects. BSc/MSc courses in Physics, Chemistry, Biotech have requirements like passing 12th standard with relevant subject preferences. For diploma courses, some of them require one to pass through 10th standard education level.
Chitkara University offers more than 100 programs at the UG and PG levels and across various disciplines. The programmes offered are B.Tech (CSE,ECE,Civil, Mechanical), BBA/MBA, B.Des/M.Des Fashion,Product,Interaction, (BA/MA English, Journalism & Mass Comm), (B.Sc/M.Sc Physics,Chemistry,Maths) B.Pharm/M.Pharm, B.Ed/M.Ed, and LLB /LLM.
The online application process is easy, one has to go to the official website of the college www.chitkara.edu.in and then navigate to the ‘Admissions’ section. If this is the program you are interested in, click on the ‘Apply Now’ button next to the program of your choice. To begin, you will need to create an account and fill out a short online application form. Scan all the documents including photographs, signatures, educational certificates etc. which should be uploaded on the web page. The application fee also has to be paid through credit/debit card, net banking, or UPI. At the end of the form, click on the save and print button to download and print the form for use later.
There is an option of off-line admission in which the prospectus and the application form can be collected from the admission office of this university by depositing the fee. Complete the form and enclose/submit certified copies of relevant documents. Ensure that all the documents are attached to the application and submit the completed application at admissions counter of the university or post/courier to the University in Patiala. Documents submitted within the application are reviewed, and the candidates are selected for an interview before the probable admission. It is important to note that there are certain criteria that have to be met by the person seeking admission, the performance of the student, and the number of seats available in the course offered. Pay all the fees for admission within the stipulated time provided by the respective institutions.

Chitkara University Patiala is also made up of several academic departments and offers several undergraduate programs in its programs. In the case of the eligibility criteria, it is also relatively flexible and may differ depending on the specific department. For the BTech specialization programs under the department of Engineering – Computer Science, Electronics & Communication, Mechanical and Civil, the candidate should have passed the 10+2 or equivalent examination in Science with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and scored not less than 60% aggregate marks. C.B.S.E, I.C.S.E, and state boards are the only valid exams for admission to this school. For the BA/BSc/BCom programmes offered under the departments of Arts, Science and Commerce, the candidate must have completed 10+2 or equivalent examination in any field and must have secured at least 50% aggregate marks. Only CBSE, ICSE and state boards examination are accepted. The Management department offers BBA degree and based on it, candidates willing to join the programme must have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination in any stream with minimum 50% marks in aggregate. For BDes program in Design department, the candidate should have a pass in 10+2 or equivalent with 50% marks and a flair for creativity.
Chitkara University is one of the reputed universities that provides Under Graduate courses in Engineering, Arts, Science, Commerce, Management, Agriculture, Education, Design and other fields of study. Some of the widely opted UG courses includes – BTech, BSc, BA, BCom, BBA, BCA, BDes. In addition to the national level exams like JEE, CUET is the university entrance exam for BTech programme.
Chitkara University Patiala has several highly appreciated and recognized PG programs with a focus on a variety of fields. The procedures of the claim vary across the different departments of the company. To appear for MBA, candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 50% marks. It is mandatory to get through one of the entrance tests such as CAT, MAT, CMAT or Chitkara University Test. The Computer Applications department does not require the candidate to have specific graduation stream but the minimum percentage of marks required is 50% of the total aggregate. Accepted exams are UGC NET, GATE, or a Chitkara test. The eligibility criteria for MA Journalism and Mass communication is that the candidate can be a graduate in any stream and the candidate must pass any Central University Common Entrance Test, Chitkara Test or any state level entrance exam.
