Cotton University Guwahati provides different undergraduate and postgraduate courses in arts science commerce engineering streams etc. The aspirants must have cleared their class 12th from a recognized board with a minimum of 50% aggregate score for the BA courses. Science departments namely physics, chemistry, mathematics enroll students based on entrance exam results including JEE Mains, NEET or class 12 passed with Physics, chemistry and mathematics respectively. The commerce and management departments admit students on the basis of national level tests like CAT, MAT, XAT or class 12th Marks with relevant subjects.
The courses being provided in the university include the BA, BSc, BCom, BBA, BCA, B.Tech, MBA, MCA and among others. It is important to note that students can apply either online through a portal that is provided by the university or through a form they can fill from the comfort of their homes. Passports identity, relevant documents, scores of entrance exams if any, passport size photos and the application fees have to be produced as and when required. This applies to entrance tests as well as personal interview rounds that are administered by the respective departments.

2. Original mark sheet and the pass certificate of 10th standard issued by a recognized board to prove the completion of the 10th standard.
3. Certificate from the Board that has conducted the examination of the 12th standard to affirm the completion and pass in the final examination.
4. Transfer certificate from the education board where the candidate passed the Class 12 examination to certify transfer eligibility.
5. Certificate of Caste for SC/ST/OBC applicants for confirmation of category for admissions.
6. A certificate of income for the candidate who wanted to get an admission under the economically weaker section quota which would be used to prove the economical conditions of the candidate.
1. The admission form can be submitted online or by offline method and it has to be done before the last date. Provide and remit all necessary papers and fees.
2. Take the entrance examination if possible. Should check results on the official website of the institute.
3. Meet counselor as per the planned time. Some guidelines for selection of course and college are rank/merit, personal preferences etc.
4. Counselling for the distribution of seats for admission. After making the necessary fees you can now confirm your admission.
5. Ensure all the documents you are submitting are original and check on their veracity. Undergo enrolment and then proceed to registration to your classes.
6. Attend orientation program. Start attending classes and all necessary paperwork and procedures to be completed for admission.
