DAV College, Jalandhar is one of the most reputed education institutions which is situated in Jalandhar city of Punjab. The college was established in the year of 1918 and considered as one of the oldest DAV institutions in India. DAV Jalandhar is also recognized by different educational councils including AICTE, NCTE, BCI, and PCI. It has also been accredited by NAAC (National Assessment and Accreditation Council) and has been giving ‘A’ grade. According to NIRF rankings released in the year 2023, DAV Jalandhar has been ranked at 65 among colleges in India. 

The college provides various undergraduate and postgraduate courses of sciences, commerce, arts and law. Some of the specializations include BSc, MSc, BCom, MCom, BA, MA, LLB, LLM etc. As mentioned earlier, the admission process usually begins in May of each year. While there are programs which require students to sit for an entrance examination, there are others which offer admission to students based on merit. The examination schedules are released and timely and the annual examinations are conducted at the end of the respective academic year.

The placement record of DAV Jalandhar is very good in different fields. Some of the best recruiters and average salary figures for the freshers graduating in the year 2023 were TCS-7 LPA, Cognizant-6 LPA, Infosys-6.5 LPA, Wipro-5 LPA, Tech Mahindra-5.5 LPA. More than 85 percent of the students were offered placements through campus placements. The maximum salary offered was up to 18 LPA.
