Dhirubhai Ambani Institute of Information and Communication Technology (DA-IICT) is an autonomous institute affiliated to the Gujarat University situated at Gandhinagar. It was established in 2001 and is recognized by the University Grants Commission and accredited by NAAC with an ‘A’ grade with a CGPA of 3.59 out of 4. As per the NIRF rankings 2023 recently announced, DA-IICT stands at 41 among engineering institutions in India.
The institute has undergraduate, postgraduate and PhD courses across all disciplines of information and communication technology such as computer science, information and communication technology, electronics communication, computational science and many more. It has been observed that the admission process begins in the month of May every year for the next batch. For the admission in 2024, the entrance examination is proposed to be held in the last week of May of the year 2023. Most of the UG and PG programs have the last date of application in the second week of June and after the declaration of results and counseling in the month of July.
DA-IICT infrastructure is very good there are better placements and internships available here. For the session 2021-22, the campus placed around 86 companies out of which 63 were newly hired companies. The maximum package offered was 40 LPA while the median salary offered was 14.63 LPA during the pandemic situation. Prominent recruiting companies comprise Microsoft, Amazon, Flipkart, HP, Practo, De-Shaw, etc. About the placement statistics, 86% of students were placed and 18 of the students went in for higher studies. It has been producing the placement ratio above 95% for the last many years, which is a great achievement for a tech institute.

1. For admission to the BTech programs, candidates must have passed their 10+2 or equivalent examination with PCM/PCB with at least 60% aggregate marks. The candidate should have a valid score in JEE Main.
2. Master of Technology (MTech) programs call for a B.Tech/B.E. degree in the relevant branch with at least 60% marks. It is mandatory to have a valid GATE score.
3. Master of Computer Applications (MCA) is a postgraduate degree in computer application and the admission to the course can be done after having a bachelor degree in any stream with minimum 50% marks. Applicant must have valid NIMCET score. The candidate should have passed 10+2 with Mathematics.
4. MSc courses require a bachelor’s degree in the respective discipline with minimum 55% marks in aggregate. The conduction of entrance test depends with the dept.
5. The admission criteria for the PhD program include a master’s degree in the relevant field with at least 55% grades. It is mandatory that the candidate must pass a qualifying entrance examination. Research proposal required.
6. In all types of programs minimum score in DAIIICT entrance test is mandatory. However, passing all the set eligibility criteria does not necessarily mean that an individual will be admitted. Admission and final interviews are based on entrance exam scores, classroom performance, and a final interview.
