DIT University Dehradun is amongst the premier private university of the region, based in Dehradun, Uttarakhand. DIT University was established in 1998 which is a deemed university recognized by UGC and approved by AICTE. NAAC has accredited DIT University with an ‘A’ grade We are ranked in the 101-150 band among all the Private Universities of the country as per the NIRF Ranking 2023.
The university teaches a diversified program of study in the fields of Engineering, Pharmacy, Agriculture, Computer Applications, Journalism and Mass Communication, Design, Commerce and Management at Under Graduate and Post Graduate levels, and some Doctoral programs. It offered some of the commonly pursued programs including B.Tech, MBA, BBA, BCA, B.Sc Agriculture among others. There is usually a rush on admission in January every year and the exams are normally conducted in April – May. Select students have to undergo some admission procedures such as financial clearance, documentation etc. in June-July as the term starts from August.
Such companies include Infosys, TCS, Cognizant, Accenture, SAP Labs, NTPC, Voltas, Reliance etc which recruits students from DIT University every year. The average salary that is offered in placements is around 4-6 LPA and the highest offer has touched 42 LPA. Till date, more than 500 companies have visited for campus recruitment and 80% students have been placed in the 5-year period.

DIT University Dehradun has placement cell to help the students in getting job placement in their preferred organizations. Among the companies that engage in campus placements, some of the best ones include Tata Consultancy Services, Cognizant, Infosys Limited, Wipro Limited, HCL Limited, Accenture, and Tech Mahindra among others. The maximum salary offered to the students in the year 2023 was 18 LPA and the middle range salary offered was 4-6 LPA. According to the recent placement statistics, more than 70% of the eligible batch of students got placed in diversified sectors such as IT/software, consulting, automotive, healthcare and others.
